Privacy Policy
This policy explains how You Goat Girl (iOS) and yougoatgirl.co handle information.
In short
- Herd records (goats, pregnancies, vaccinations, photos, notes) live on your device and may sync through your private iCloud account.
- Sign in with Apple unlocks the app. It is not used as a public profile.
- Face ID / Touch ID is optional and stays on the device.
- Heat, vaccine, and kidding reminders are local notifications on your iPhone.
- We do not sell your personal information or use third-party ad SDKs in the app.

You Goat Girl is operated by Bennalsoft. Questions: info@bennalsoft.com.
What stays with you
Names, breeds, pedigree, heat and pregnancy dates, vaccinations, notes, photos, and settings are stored locally with SwiftData. When iCloud is available, Apple syncs that private CloudKit database to your other devices. We do not read your herd from a Bennalsoft server.
Sign in with Apple
Apple ID is used to sign in. Name and email are requested only if you choose to share them with the app during Sign in with Apple. We do not operate a separate user directory.
Photos, camera, and Face ID
Photos you attach are compressed and stored with the goat record. Camera and photo-library access are used only when you add a picture. Face ID / Touch ID, if you enable it, unlocks the app after sign-in and is handled by iOS.
Notifications
Optional local notifications remind you about heat, vaccine due dates, and kidding windows. Those requests stay on the device. You can turn them off in Settings.
Website and server logs
This marketing site is static. Hosting may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, user agent, and URL) for security and reliability. We do not run third-party ad trackers on the site.
Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the service:
- Apple for App Store, Sign in with Apple, CloudKit, and on-device biometrics
- AWS for hosting this marketing site
- Legal or safety requirements when required by law
Retention
- On device / iCloud: until you delete the goat, the data, or the app
- Site logs: for a limited operational period
Children
You Goat Girl is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
